Description

Life in the Lens
A series exploring NYC professions in visual media

"Stand Clear of the Closing Doors" is a family drama rooted in the vibrant depiction of a seldom-seen community on the city's edge. With an eye-opening view of life on the autism spectrum, the film simultaneously explores the strains of immigrant experience. The film is about identity and conformity; communication and tolerance. It explores the dark spaces between us, seeking out the peculiar threads that tie us together.

San Fleischner is a graduate of Wesleyan University with an honors degree in film. Sam has made several award-wining short films, music videos for popular bands like MGMT, Panda Bear, TEEN, and Santigold as well as art-video installations for venues throughout the United States
